I think Yorkies are generally smart. They are after all ranked 27th on the Stanley Coren's Intelligence Dogs List. I think they are so smart that they can think for themselves and gets bored really fast in general. They also need a little more mental stimulation because of the boredom issue. At least that is the problem I have with Pao. He gets bored easily and I constantly have to find ways to stimulate his mind. Once, I fell down the stairs and couldn't get up and was trying to get my husband to help but he was upstairs in the bathroom, Pao actually knew what I needed and ran upstairs to try to get help for me
. Maybe it was intelligence or its pure love, I do not know.
