I'm not raising grandkids, I'm still married to the original guy (26 years), and I am still young enough (mid 40's) to do anything "childfree" I wish to do at my age.  To us, it is our friends our age with young kids that are tied down while we have our freedom (except for those silly dogs again).  LOL... Just another side to this discussion.    | 
 
  Well said I to    Married young kids raised.  And now love being a grandma   And still have time to enjoy life.    It is a huge job raising a family and not for everyone.   But for me was the perfect choice
