I have a friend who has Yorkies. One of hers got away through a broken gate. She canvassed the neighborhood for several days. She talked to a man in his front yard who swore he hadn't seen her dog. The next day, walking past the same man's house, she heard barking coming from his back yard. She looked over the fence and discovered her dog in his back yard. She didn't call the police. I would have. The man clearly intended to keep her dog. My friend is lucky to have found her dog. Everybody loves Yorkies, and many unscrupulous individuals wouldn't have any second thoughts about taking one if the opportunity presented itself.
