We had an especially bad year with ticks a couple of years ago. It went on all all spring, summer, fall and into winter. I bought the Fronline flea and tick for cats but it did nothing (it did kill fleas) as far as the ticks went. We still had them arriving home with big engorged ticks on their necks. I purchased a tick pull from our vet which made the removal a very easy process. no more heads stuck in the skin. The ticks seemed to love the Fronline. I told the vet about it but she had no idea of why it didn't work. I have seen other reviews that state the same results. I haven't checked since but at the time Fronline was the only company that made a tick product for cats.
This year we have seen far less ticks than anytime in the past 5 years. Sometimes that happens when there is a big population of any type of bug. Once they get to have huge numbers they start to die off for a while. I hope they continue to decrease in numbers. They give me the creeps!
