Teddy started lifting his leg around 4 months after I was assured by countless sources that he wouldn't do this until he was a year old!


He started marking around 8 months (maybe sooner, but 8 months is when I caught him). When I did catch him, I corrected him with, "NO!" and he never did it again.


I know that neutering can SOMETIMES help but it isn't a guarantee so I think you have to train as well to really get the message through that the behavior is not acceptable.
