I have no answer but this is my experience. We got Dex as a rescue at just over 3 months and he had just been neutered. Which I now understand was way young, but it was not our doing and it's done. Anyway, SINCE then he's started cocking his leg to pee outdoors and has recently started marking in the house. All my reading seems to indicate that shouldn't happen, but there you go, it IS happening. He's just over 5 months now.
