My little 3 mos old, Jeter, has been potty training outside, I take him out every 45 minutes to an hour when he isn't napping. I tried to get him to go on pads, my 8 year old is pad trained, but he wasn't having it. Last week we had a lot of rain which brings out the frogs and I wasn't taking him out after dark because of the danger of him putting one in his mouth. I put down several pads in the places that he's had accidents inside and he went over to the pad and did his business all by himself, I guess he didn't want to go on the pad his big brother used when I tried previously. Now he uses the pads regularly and I still take him out for walks during the day even though he never looks to go outside. I guess each dog is different and maybe he knows to go on the pads because he watches his big brother do it and he does almost everything his big brother does. This makes life easier for me, I can sleep in because he will wake up early to play with his brother and go on the pad until I get up. |
