I agree that it would be confusing. I think it would be easier if you started with the pee pad first. I trained Lexi to go outside and was fully trained when I tried to introduce her pee pad. I gave up after the first day because I felt so bad confusing her. She would keep running to the door and ringing the bell wondering why I wasn't taking her out. She then just held it for hours and hours after I knew she needed to go until she eventually couldn't hold it anymore and went on the carpet. I could tell she was confused when I wouldn't let her out to go so I decided it wasn't worth it. I'm sure it can be done, but would take a lot of time and patience! |
