The pup can not hold it all night. The crate shoukd be in your bedroom where the pup can see you and the pup should cry when they need to go out. It is like have a new baby and you may not get a lot of sleep for the first few weeks. Mine would cry and I would take her potty and put her back in. If you have taken them potty and they just keep crying you have to ignore it.
