Definitely a vet dermatologist is needed when the skin gets bad. Vets will give cortisone and I really don't think they are as knowledgeable in the skin meds as the derm doc. Now the derm dr costs more but it is worth the money to get the results. I would not keep giving cortisone shots. Also the diet is important and the derm dr. has tests for that. I hope your baby gets some relief soon.
