After reading these posts, I could kick myself. I just had my 7-1/2 month old male Yorkie neutered and the vet noticed he still had 2 or 3 baby teeth still in his mouth. I think one is growing right next to an adult tooth as a matter of fact. The vet said he would charge me $x amount per tooth to extract them while he was under and I declined. I asked him if it was ok to wait until they fall out naturally (since I didn't want added discomfort to his being since he was going to be sore from the castration) and he said it should be ok.
Now I'm kicking myself. What do I do now? The last thing I want to do is bring him back and put him under just to have a couple teeth removed. He has various harder chew toys (elk antler, buddy stick, and a small all natural beef kneecap bone) which I give him occasionally and I'm hoping they contribute to the eventual release of his baby teeth.
If not......
