I am wondering what others on the forum do regarding their tiny nails.

The nails on my bigger dog aren't such a problem because I can see them clearly and I use a grinder and do it myself. However my little one's nails are very small and very hidden behind his fur.

I have tried having my wife hold him down while I bring the grinder over but I'm afraid that the grinder may pull on his paw fur so I always end up backing out. I tried to get the guillotine style scissor but he just won't stay still either.

Has anyone else had any luck doing this themselves, or do you usually just bring your dog into the groomers and have them do it all.
