Gosh, I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the 1st time, but it was my understanding that sometimes if they had a large shunt that was "closed off" that they may develop or acquire these microvascular shunts. Lola's MVD is much less dangerous than her initial shunt; in fact, she is on no meds and Dr. Tobias has her on no special diet.

Lil missi I have not redone her Bile Acids since 3 months post op. Her other bloodwork has remained normal. I have it done annually. She has not been on any meds for her liver / shunt since her surgery.
