Thanks from the reply. I'm in Sidcup do its like Kent/London. I grew up in ramsgate and my parents are still there.
Your post has really out my mind at ease. Whilst I'm working in central London so I can't pop back, I'm positive my neighbours would help.
I will definitely look at getting a camera although it may result in me not doing any work and just watching all day.
I'm not going to crate him all day but use a puppy pen so he can feel more relaxed then eventually just gate off my kitchen as its massive. I'm also going to litter train as I would feel terrible if he had to hold it in all day and then something happens and he got nowhere to go. It doesn't happen often but it's stressful enough commuting without that worry.
I just worry so much as everyone is so bloody negative!
