My first yorkie was a rescue too. I went through this forum with a fine tooth comb absorbing any info I could. My Brandi (RIP) was sort of like yours in the beginning but over time I manage to turn her in to a full blown diva. It took some time and patience but it was so worth it.
She was my velcro baby and some behaviors I could not change. She remained very skittish of other human beings so after awhile I just learn to accept that is how she is and will always be.
I took the advice from this forum and because of that I know Brandi's life with me was absolutely wonderful and full of love. She passed away knowing that someone loved her. |
