I am happy when a dog food is rated well AND it doesn't have any RED type in the ingredient list. I don't feed any of the 5 star, just don't want that much protein but we use 3-4 star with few or no red words.
His motivation is a loss of his dog from bad dog food. I appreciate what he does. Lots of good, helpful information on the comment boards too. It's a great site IMO. |
The thing is it's his opinion that those are the best foods not like a vet nutristist who recommends some of the foods he rates low. Just by reading some stuff dosent make him magically know what's good or bad for dogs. There are things that dogs need and eat that we don't need or don't sound yummy. The company also needs to be taken into concideration, he has foods rated with 5 stars that come from company's with just terrible quality control and reputations.
