Well, went to vet today and he only got rabies shot. They will do last 9 way in a week and will premedicate him first since he ran a slight fever the last time. He has slept since we got home so I am really glad I asked about breaking them up into two trips. I got heartworm (heartgard plus) and an oral flea medication (1 month). The heartgard says 0-25 lbs and it is a chewable med looks like a piece of meat. I probably put him on Advantis plus for fleas/ticks that way I can use it when I need to. He won't be walking or playing outside a lot here because we have birds of prey (2 acres woods). The heartgard for 0-25 lbs seems like overkill since he only weighs 3.4 pounds. I am wondering what your have lil Chester on and how is it working for you? |
