Thanks for all your good thoughts. She did say it probably is CT but her 27 years as a vet she never had to put one down due to it. She said they usually die of something else. She said even though he is young does not mean it will progress faster. It could stay as a quick cough. She said she has a dog that has had it since he was a puppy and is 10 and doing fine. More dogs do fine with CT then not. So lets hope sammie is one of them!! She said there is no guarantee with any dog. I could get another dog and he might have diabetes. So it looks like she talked me into keeping the sweet boy. Well my husband also said he would divorce me LOL
