I understand completely! We have a little poodle in our neighborhood who would definitely take a bite given a chance. She is the first one who traumatized Teddy.

My boys love all Yorkies that they encounter, despite not being super socialized. Sometimes people do not have a chance to socialize their dogs. I do not trust 99% of the dogs or their humans in my neighborhood (or the ones in the training classes), so there was no way I was going to let my 3 pound puppy try to socialize with them. It's partially my fault, being over-protective, but I think that I have a healthy fear of what may happen.
