We have had a lot of smaller dogs flip out on us too. Poor Teddy has almost been ruined by this. The other dogs either flip out or they jump on his head, paw at his face (bad manners).
Max often barks when he wants to greet another dog, but he looks and sounds like a lunatic so people aren't anxious to get closer. Not many people believe me when I say, "Really, he is nice!"
