Always double check w/ your vet, as LadyJane mentions.

The dose I have always been told for Benadryl from my regular vet and my Vet Derm is 1-2mg/pound. Benadryl is a very important med - it can literally save your dog's life if there is a severe allergic reaction -- (to a bee, a scorpion, fire ants, whatever)...so def know the dosage and have it on hand and/or if you travel w/ your doggies.
Is it reg Benadryl or children's? And if you can post your doggie ER kit. . I think I would be very helpful
