Unfortunately, if it clears up or doesn't -- it doesn't result in any conclusions as far as allergies. Allergy dogs will often get recurring pyoderma (ie, skin infections, for dogs) and some allergy dogs do not get skin infections...it just depends. If it doesn't happen to clear up, all it means is that it was the wrong antibiotic for the infectious agent (bug/germ/organism)...which probably won't happen bc Simplicef is a broad spectrum antibiotic that covers both gram+ and gram- bacteria/organisms/bugs.

Simplicef doesn't work for fungal infections, but this doesn't sound like one...?
