I'll let someone who maybe has used that shirt or is more experienced chime in, but I can tell you what is working so far for my little guy.

- We have (6) Iris Exercise Pen Panels linked together in the corner of the living room with whelping pads underneath and training pads on one end, bed/toys/food/water on the other end. This is his zone and he sleeps here and when I can't have my eagle eye on him, it's where he hangs. If he fusses I ignore him or if he gets into the "red zone" I shake a cocktail shaker with a cap inside it to get him out of his fit.
- He's still little so he has 24/7 access to kibble and water, but we do set meal times where I mix chicken baby food or hot water in with 1/8 cup of kibble and he usually eats it all right away. I watch him and within a half hour I take him out and stay outside until he goes. Sometimes it takes an hour. If he won't go and I can't wait any longer (ideally I'd stay however long it takes, but life is life - - ), he goes back in his pen. He always uses the pads in his pen (he likes keeping his fun half clean)
- If he does go outside we have a fun celebration and then we play in the living room until he gets tired and then he goes back in his pen for a nap
- As soon as he wakes up, I take him out again
... and repeat..

With accidents, make sure if you catch him in the act you firmly say NO (or whatever negative you're using) and immediately take him outside. Make sure to clean up accidents well so he (or another dog) doesn't decide to repeat on the smell. Nature's Miracle works great.

We're planning to neuter at 5-6 months to avoid those hormones from kicking in as marking habits can be tough to break.

You'll find what works best for you, but patience, routine and supervision are pretty crucial. Beware of products that promise an easy fix or shortcut.
