As far as some things you mentioned above. Just to let ya know - the yorkie is a Toy Breed, and the "standard" for the breed is that they be 7 pounds or less. If they weigh more than that, they may still be a yorkie, but would not be considered "standard" and it may possibly mean that they were carelessly bred by an unethical breeder (ie, if the breeder knew she would be breeding too-large, out-of-standard yorkies). There is no such thing as a "teacup yorkie" -- that's just a marketing term used by unethical people who are trying to get you to pay more for a "teacup yorkie". It's a term that has done a lot of damage to the breed as it's dishonest and misleading and incorrect .

All that said, many people here have larger yorkies - so I know they're out there...it just depends upon whether you want a standard yorkie or are comfortable purchasing a non-standard.
Some reputable breeders end up having larger unexpected yorkies. We have a few here that came from reputable breeders but are larger I think.
