From the time he was a young pup, I really encouraged him to do a lot. If there was a tree trunk down, go ahead... try to jump on it! A bench at a park? Hop on it! Those little parking bumper things, he likes to balance on. Almost like outdoor environmental agility lol. He didn't start diving into the pool right away, it took 2 summers.
And he actually does have fears - he is noise sensitive, terrified of fireworks, thunder, gunshots, etc, but usually outdoors, he is in element and just soaks everything up. I protect him, of course, but I don't baby him or treat him like a porcelain doll.
