I'm surprised the vet didn't send you home with pain meds. I had ZoE spayed the Thursday before a holiday weekend, and her vet gave us couple of days of pains meds, and then I chose to purchase extra, as the office would be closed all weekend and the following Monday (her vet was still available by cellphone though).
Glad to hear the spay went smoothly. Hopefully she heals quickly and is back yo herself soon.
