I've originally schedule fed for a short time (at about 3/4ths or less a cup throughout the day), but then allowed free-feeding when I discovered my girl had gotten the shakes at least once or twice. As mentioned, this is very dependent on the individual dog. So I plan to keep her free-fed unless the vet tells me otherwise (or mentions she needs to lose weight) ^^;
