My dad used to read this to me at bed time (my mom did "The Owl and the Pussycat") - anyhow there's something about the rhythm that seems to work for Shelby.
Anyone else have a favorite poem to settle the pup? Reading it out loud also relaxes me - so it's a win win.

Edward Lear was my 'go to' poet...or at least the poems that my parents used to read to me....
'Nonsense poems' as they're called over here....
