Feed to condition (a good body score (your vet can help with this)).
Our 17 pound pup gets 1/2 -1 cup daily. He sometimes does not eat though.
Our 6 pound pup eats probably about 2/3 - 1 cup a day of a calorically non-dense food. Burns it right off. Depends on the dog.
