So, I've found this one by Edward Lear works very well to get Shelby to settle down - she's usually building her nest by the first "Far and few" and totally out by the "Chankly Bore".

My dad used to read this to me at bed time (my mom did "The Owl and the Pussycat") - anyhow there's something about the rhythm that seems to work for Shelby.
Anyone else have a favorite poem to settle the pup? Reading it out loud also relaxes me - so it's a win win.
(or am I a totally over the top Yorkie dad?)
