They may just charge you a small fee for a new paper and ask that the old one be returned? I'm only guessing here. You may just have to tell any new prospective owners that you will have to hold off on the transfer until you get the papers back and just explain to them what happened. I had to order a duplicate for one of my litters. the papers got lost in the mail. Not a hassle at all. Just a little extra time like Robbie said.
