Pat and Summer: For you, is Show Quality and Breeding Quality the same? I know that's a "loaded question" but I am just curious what you think.
I think most show breeders would say they are synonymous because your goal is to strive to "better the breed" but some non show breeders may not agree and will argue that, as long as there are no health issues, the physical traits as defined by the standard are not as important. For example, they may still breed an 8 lb female (bigger than the standard allows) or a male with recessive piebald color genes for example, where a "serious" show breeder may not.
