Hi all,

I was offered the job this morning.......but....they offered me 5000 less than what I had asked for...then we talked about parking in their area and I found out it would cost me 2200 to 3600 a year for parking in addition to gas and tolls. Whew that is a chunk out of my pay. He said that with bonuses I would make well over my asking rate but I wanted my bonuses to be in addition to my salary not just to cover my commuting exp and the additional time we have to work during busy season.

They do have benefit plans but I have never reveived benefit of them from
any emloyer (got screwed by one company when the boss died). They also have health ins but they would have to reimbuse me for mine and not sure if they do that.

I asked him if I could give it some thought and get back to him by tomorrow and he said ok. I am wondering if he is taking advantage of my age by offering less and in addition the cost of parking is outragous....then also I would be away from my furbabies more cause of the longer hours and commute...that coupled with less money does not make it look too attractive to me. Just trying not to do something I
will kick myself in the butt for.

Am I passing up a good offer or am I blinded by my need to be employed?
