This is great feedback, thanks all! Keep it coming!

I decided on Saturday morning for pickup as I realized Friday night we'd be fighting rush hour that direction. It's about 50 miles each way as it is. That way, too we can take a little time playing with pup and mom vs snatching him away in the night.

I DO work at a fun place We are a retailer of horse and pet health products, geared primarily towards the top-level hunter/jumper equine athlete.

I won't be bringing him in until after he's had all of his shots, so more towards 16 weeks or so. Unfortunately half days won't work unless I am going to finish my day at my home office since the drive with traffic can take 45 minutes each way.

In the first couple of weeks before he's had all of his shots, the most I'd anticipate he might be alone is 5 - 6 hours. Should I get a petsitter to pop in and check on him? This is my first yorkie and first small breed dog - - I've been reading like a beast, but all of my past experience was with Boxers.

@BabyGirl Rosie - - I checked and his breeder is going to send him with a blanket and some toys.
