I have a re-home. Lily is my 4 1/2 year old Yorkie-Poodle mix (also have a couple others of different breeds that were re-homes). I've had Lily for about a year and a half. She was brought into the vet clinic I work at to be euthanized because she needed ACL surgery and her owners didn't want to spend the money (but then went and bought another puppy afterwards that died of parvo).
The owner asked them to sign Lily over to us instead of euthanizing her and she did the surgery. She was originally going to be sent to a rescue after she was healed but she's absolutely terrified of men so it would've made finding her a home difficult. She lived at the clinic for almost a year before I finally gave in (I already had 7 other dogs) and brought her home. I'm pretty sure she has been abused. Along with being afraid of men, you can't make any sudden moves around her, especially if you have anything in your hand, or she cries and runs away. She HATES the remote control to the TV. I've finally after all this time got her to, once in a while, take food from my hand. She has her issues, but she's a sweet girl and I love her to death.
