I drove with my dog in my lap once, the first day I got him. He was secured in my arms the entire time. Being taken from his family and on a car ride home with strangers was scary for him and I felt he needed affection.
The posts above implied they are giving their dog more than a "lick."
I don't plan on agreeing with everyone's posts. But don't think for a minute I won't say something about it.
Having a newcomer on here reading posts like "coffee is toxic but my dog is 7yo and I give him a cup daily!" Is dangerous. My input here is needed for new dog owners that might make the mistake of trusting the people whose dogs are EXCEPTIONS and not the general rule. But even with exceptions, there is still a possibility if a bad outcome one day.
