My grandmom basically drinks melted coffee ice cream (tons of light cream and sugar), one of our yorkies always stole it, he was 5lbs and lived to be 17.
Lola used to steal my coffee (with milk) as a tiny pup, she hasn't done it lately but she never had any problems.
I also give my dogs the occasional bit of cookie, usually oatmeal or chocolate chip without the chocolate, and a variety of other people foods. All of my dogs have lived long, mostly healthy lives. Never much, just a taste or as a meal if it's healthy for them.
When my poodle was dying of CHF she stopped eatting, the vet and I agreed it didn't matter what she ate as long as she ate, so she'd get things like pizza. She lived longer than he thought she would. |
