If you girl does not socialize well with any dog, I would not bring another puppy into your home. Gender doesn't really make a difference. My older boy has an "only child" personality
, but we had the opportunity to socialize with other Yorkies. Seeing him socialize, I was reasonably confident he would do well with another dog in the house, and he has. Although they get along very well, it's still a balancing act.
