Sorry to say, but ham, bacon, and pork are some of the worst things to feed pups, and can cause pancreatitis. Mucus in the stool is a sign of intestinal distress. I'm sure it will all clear up and is not a result of her surgery. Just have to be careful about what "treats" you share with her. Do make sure she drinks plenty of water though.
Thanks for the advice and good wishes, that's the last ham I ever give her, including perhaps tastes/licks of ice cream, scone, cheese strips etc.

Currently she's got loads of energy and is ravenous for food. Dad is definitely in the 'naughty corner' and she's ignored me all evening - ouch!

Thought I'd give her a short walk on the lead tomorrow, for a change of scene, say about 10 minutes each way?
