As to the question of the puppy, is there any chance your vet can check it out before you decide to adopt. I don't know about you, but I like and trust my vet very much, and would feel better about having my own vet check the puppy out, also get a health guarantee from the breeder, and I'd make sure it was for two years just to be sure.
