Well, her vet never called back. They were supposed to call the lab and then have a vet call us an we never heard from them (major disappointment with them, they could have at least called and let us know if they didn't get the results when they called).
We called at 24 hour vet we usually use for emergencies and explained what was going on and with this place if you call ahead and book an appointment they charge a regular office visit so no high emergency fees, they booked us in for 10:30pm as we said it wasn't an emergency and we just wanted repeat bloodwork. We let them know that she was negative for parasites and she was heartworm negative at the end of April, so they said they will run a panel for us - hopefully we get the results tonight.
She is acting way better now and her bowel movement was a lot better, but we want to be on the safe side and double check. We are thinking it is because of her food, but we don't want to upset her tummy more if something else is going on...so peace of mind is well worth the money and having it done again. Besides, if something does show up, we will have this blood work and our other vet's blood work to compare things to.
I am trying to stay positive that nothing major is happening and she just has tummy upset from food. |
