Thanks for the commiseration. I feel kinda bad today. Animal control clerk called and said the "final" report was ready, so I drove down and picked it up. It's at least 40 pages and answers a lot of questions I've had.

While it doesn't excuse the amount of time this dragged on and doesn't excuse her lack of communication, it does seem to be a pretty thorough report. Worst part is she had to meet with the guy at least twice, and in the end when presented with the Level II classification he got belligerent and refused to sign.

He's paid at least $300 in fines (no rabies vaccination and no licensing), and I would assume the Level II classification is going to help me in court.

That couldn't have been easy. I'm leaning toward thanking her for that part of it and explaining again why I was so upset.
