Default Yorkie and liver shunts

Sorry to hear about your baby. I've read so much on this liver shunt. I was old buddy was really not eating, laying around, lethargic. I never heard my sister talk about all the systems so many others puppies and older dogs have had. But vet said according to blood test, their pretty sure he has liver shunt. Could you please tell me how much these xrays and surgery costs you. I'm on disability and I'm so freaking out at the thousands they say it will costs for xrays and possible surgery. Never had a dog with a diagnosis like this. Others say price for dog (it was my sisters), the 2 meds cost, $70 bag of dog food, then the fact they wanna do xrays, possible surgery, I should euthanize him. He's only 8 months old and is so full of life. I don't have the heart to do that!
