One thing you can do is post a found dog ad somewhere with a short description for example:
Female dog found, vet estimates ___ months old, coat colors Black and Tan. If this sounds like your dog please email pictures to
xxx@something.com.
That way you would get your proof that she was loved and cared for. What loving pet owner doesn't have millions of pictures of their babies, right?
I know I'm guilty if that! They could positively ID the pup and you would have helped someone reunite with their baby as you were when Nico went missing.
