Thanks, I do appreciate your concern for Emmie.

Just to update, we met with the surgeon(s) and although she is a year old now, her growth plates aren't closed yet. Apparently they aren't magically finished closing the day she turns 1. So we will follow up in 6 weeks.

As far as whats going on with her.... Her knees are locking up at random times lately, where she is almost frozen, she can't move at all. it just seems to be getting worse. I saw little knee braces for dogs online idk if that would help, the surgeon kind of laughed and said they don't work work well but it wouldn't hurt! So I think I am going to try!! The surgeon we liked the most (yes he is board certified and even taught at A&M) said her condition has progressed to the point where it may be too late to do surgery but he isn't ruling it out yet. It just seems unfair. Can't do the surgery because shes too young, but when she finally can have it, its too late. Sad irony. So if yall will just keep your fingers crossed and maybe pray that in 6 weeks she will be able to have the surgery, and in the meantime the pain will GO AWAY!! And everything will work out.
