I'm sure she's gotten the dog to the vet by now and a diagnosis made, treatment started and the dog is already doing better than it was, if nothing else from the vet cleaning out all that brownish ear wax and junk ears can build up. Probably started on medication for the sores and itching plus the ear mites or whatever was causing the intense itching and maybe even antibiotics. When you wait this long, the vet usually hits the situation with a broad spectrum of treatments to help the dog quickly and cover all the bases. Taking the dog in earlier would probably have been far cheaper in the long run. But I'm sure the dog is getting treatment and going to be better very soon.

Try not to worry about how the OP took any of our remarks - we were trying to make her understand how awful intense itching is and why she needed to get the dog help no matter how difficult or far she needed to go to do it and asking why she wasn't quicker to act or prepared to get her dog help sooner. You know how some members get offended when that type of situation arises and we all get passionate over the suffering dog, though we never try to hurt their feelings but intend only to do nothing more than make the member think hard about their dog ownership responsibilities and consider things from the poor dog's point of view. And you know many new posters don't ever return or post more than a few times. You didn't do anything wrong.
