Hi there, I went to grooming school to learn how to groom my Yorkies bc Mimi came home w/a burned lip. The groomer hurt her w/ hot clippers!
There's lots of utube videos & I made a thread describing all the different blades. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...room-home.html

Personally, I groom them myself at home for various reasons. To name couple, I don't like them being crated for how many ever hours waiting for their turn. Like Whylie's Mom said, there are some awful groomers out there (I know there are wonderful ones out there too).

I use clippers b/c they're faster and I've gotten both my pups used to it. They don't look "perfect" but I've gotten much better since I've started. Even gotten some compliments the last time around.

Pic below is Zoey. I gave her a haircut about 2 weeks ago. Attachment 399161

Zoey looks good, I like the amount of hair you left on her body...not too short & not too long. You did a great job! Isn't it true, the more you practice, the better you'll get @ it?
