I'm reading Maria's white kitchen posts right now, fun stuff. Love a white kitchen w/ a black counter top, which is shown in a post about granite. So classic.
Is your kitchen white?
I also lovvvvvvvvvve subway tile in white kitchen. I know subway tile has been "in vogue" for a long time now, but I'm still loving it and find it timeless and so attractive. I've had thoughts about subway-tiling my kitchen island, as I saw on this pin, kinda fun, but don't know if I'd ever do it: subway tile island | Living Spaces | Pinterest
Anyone else obsessed w/ subway tile? |
No it's not, that's why I collect white kitchens on my boards......I just dream for now..
Maria does have a bias towards white kitchens and subway tiles. She says subway tiles for the kitchen and bathroom have been around since the 50's and are still popular today, they are timeless and classic. Some people might find them boring but I love them! There is a trend right now to eliminate the upper cabinets. I like the look but i wonder how they compensate for the loss of storage. Like this kitchen......
