Jackson got it once while vaccinated too. The other time I think he had been vaccinated but it was about 6 months out. After 3 bordatella vaccines and having them never work or cause small reactions, I won't do the vaccine anymore. It was real easy to treat if caught in time too. I actually did not even bring him into the vet as I sent them a video of what he was doing and they knew it was KC and did not want him in their office unless necessary. They gave us some type of medicine and it cleared up in a few days.
Fwiw, he still walks through pet stores, he recently went to a large pet expo, etc, no problems. He does see a mobile groomer though and is not boarded.
