I don't get owners who don't know their dogs needs, but then we've all read the horror stories that some poor dogs live through.
We have two pure bred yorkies, but their coats are so different. Caleb's coat is a breeze, even long, it hardly ever tangles. He gets brushed most days, the most he's ever gone without a quick brush is three. The brush glides through his coat.
Now Pippi has a curly cotton coat that tangles and would mat like the dog in the pictures if not groomed often. I do it every day and she always has small tiny tangles. You take on a dog, you take on it's needs, medical, emotional, physical.
